Each member of the Chambert team is privileged with the responsibility of caring for Chambert’s historical land and nursing the vines that cradle the exceptional grapes. Throughout the year, the team applies itself to maintaining the great terroir by giving it all of their attention. Because a great wine is made in the vineyard, the work during each season builds capital for the whole year. Allowing the land to rest, managing the optimal vineyard size, and enhancing its cultivation are all vital steps in the development of a great vintage.
This internationally renowned 'Wine-Making extraordinaire’ is famous for his approach to vineyards that respects nature and for his great expertise in developing local wines. Throughout the year at Chambert, Stéphane Derenoncourt and his team (Simon Blanchard) are working in the same logic of excellence to develop the best wines that are expressive of the terroir and its rich character.
Owner of Chateau Chambert, he executes his vision with the help from his team : continuing the production of Chambert wines which have become famous through the centuries. It is this devotion to wines reflecting the land and possessing a remarkable finesse that have led the vineyard to adopt biodynamics since 2007.
Chambert oenologist since 1999, Vincent knows every detail of the vineyard. His expert knowledge of the land and the history of each parcel allows a qualitative approach to the whole vineyard and ensures the consistency of the wines produced by Chambert, year after year.
