This 100% Malbec wine takes a minimum of 7 years to produce. It comes from heated grapes that is aged in old french oak barrels until they've developed an immense palette of Port/oxidative notes. Travel in time with this recipe from the 17th century, a very refined and delicate dessert wine that gastronomy chefs love!
Variety: 100 % Malbec
Vineyards: mainly from our iron rich clay soil (sidérolithic). The vines are about 40 years old on average. Planting density: 4,500 feet/ha. Average yield: 25 hl/ha. Organic and biodynamic agriculture.
Vinification: fresh grapes are heated to extract all the aromatics and structure of high quality Malbec. Then it is fortified with brandy to achieve a balanced texture and flavour, with a final alcohol level of 17% abv. Then aging in the cellar in an average of 4 years in French oak barrels. No sulfur added in the whole process.
Denomination: sweet fine - fortified
Tasting suggestion: Served cold, this wine can be drink with dessert or aperitive.
